Privacy Notice - what we do with your data
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust ("the Trust") is the
controller of personal data for the purposes of the Data Protection
Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation. The Trust may
be contacted at Information Governance, Trust Headquarters,
Marlborough Street, Bristol, BS1 3NU. The Trust may also act as a
processor of personal data on behalf of partner organisations.
The Trust takes your confidentiality and privacy rights very
seriously and we are committed to taking all reasonable measures to
ensure the confidentiality and security of personal data for which
we are responsible, whether computerised or on paper. This notice
explains in detail how we collect, process, transfer and store your
personal information and forms part of our accountability and
transparency to you under the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR) 2018.
At Board level, we have appointed a Senior Information Risk
Owner who is accountable for the management of all information
assets and any associated risks and incidents, and a Caldicott
Guardian, who is responsible for the management of patient
information and patient confidentiality.
